If you think that Galaxy Note 7 is the only upgrade Samsung has been working on, you are in for a great surprise. It may have started off as rumors but now we can all rejoice as Samsung Colombia confirms the launch of the new Galaxy Tab S3, as reported by GSMArena.

The unveiling of the new model of Galaxy Tab will concur with the launch of the new Galaxy Note on September 2 in Europe. The event will certainly attract people who have been looking for upgrade of the Galaxy Tab S2 which was launched in 2015.

Earlier, the speculations for the release of the new model was strengthened when China's TEENA confirmed knowledge of the new Galaxy Tab. Images of the new model of the Galaxy tab was released along with some specifications by the certification body which is counterpart for US' FCC. It is common knowledge that these certification bodies are the last stages before new gadgets are released officially in the market.

Specifications of the Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 is rumored to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and come with 32 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128 GB with a microSD card), an 8 or 9.7-inch screen (display resolution of 1,536 x 2,048 pixels), 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera, and processor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 with 3GB of RAM.

Although the South Korean tech giant has yet to confirm the exact specification of the new model, it is expected to be better from its previous one. The only hint given was that the upgrade of the new Galaxy Tab S3 from its predecessor Galaxy Tab S2 is all about having a better processor. The new Galaxy Tab model will process information better and will have a better mobile device performance due to greater capacity.

The price of the new Galaxy Tab S3 is still unknown.
