And, it appears that he is involved in much more things than previously anticipated. Apart from being in the police department, Hooper might also be covering up information about Eleven. And, possibly it was for her that he left food in the jungle secretly.

A Reddit user states that after returning from the Upside Down world without harm, Hopper has allianced with the government in a quest to find alternate realities. During an interview, Harbour revealed that Hopper's involvement is much deeper than it seems and it is partly because of his understanding of the Upside Down world. This has further fueled speculations about the Chief's involvement in the upcoming "Stranger Things" Season 2."

The actor further revealed that another possibility is that Hopper hopes to meet his daughter and for that, he can do anything. So, it might be that he is in search of alternate realities to find his daughter.

Coming to Eleven, Harbour made an interesting statement. He said that the Chief thinks that Eleven still has her existence in some form or the other and so he left food in the woods. But, he further stated that the rest will be revealed once Season 2 of "Strange Things" progresses.

Hopper is amongst the interesting characters on "Strange Things" and the way his character has evolved is pretty impressive. And, as more threats are looming over Hawkins, it is Hopper who will save them like a hero.
