Last season of "The Following" wasn't a very good one for Mike Weston. He was beat to a pulp by Joe Carroll's followers and was never the same.

According to EOnline, it's only going to get worse in Season 2.

"With regards to last year and everything that happened with all the brutality and the horrific events he witnessed and was a part of, that's nothing compared to what happens this year for him," showrunner Kevin Williamson said according to EOnline. "He really does get pushed to the absolute limits of his sanity and his ability to cope with something."

Season 2 should be an interesting one for Mike. We know he and Ryan will be at odds at some point during the season.

"Ryan and Mike confront each other at a crime scene in New York," Williamson said according to TVGuide.com.

In addition, Weston is going to have problems with Ryan's niece Max, who will be played by new cast member Jessica Stroup ("90210", "Ted"). Although Max and Mike start off disliking each other, their relationship may take a romantic turn.

Season 1's events were hard on almost every character, including Emma. She went into hiding after killing Jacob and believing Joe Carroll was dead. According to this photo provided to EOnline, she may be hiding out in an abandoned-looking apartment until things blow over (or until her next move.)
