James Cameron is taking his sweet time to perfect "Avatar" sequel. Cameron wants to prove to the movie fans all over the world that the first film was successful not just by fluke.

In previous reports, it was pointed out that there is a good reason for "Titanic" director to delay "Avatar 2." With the upcoming sequel, he wants to make a point that it is not mere luck to be the director of two of the highest grossing films of all time, "Titanic" and "Avatar." In fact, Cameron reads and re-reads the "Avatar 2" script until he is fully confident that everything is in order. "I'm in the process of doing another pass through all three scripts right now," he told Entertainment Weekly in an interview.

"You have to challenge yourself. Obviously, expectations are going to be very high on these films, especially on Avatar 2, to make sure it wasn't just some big fluke the first time," the "Avatar 2" director explained.

James Cameron may be slow in dishing out the sequel to the expectant fans. However, he does not want anyone to pressure him into rushing the production of "Avatar 2." "Jim Cameron has his own pace," said Jim Gianopolus, Fox chairman-CEO.

"It's a room...which is covered floor to ceiling with images, characters, worlds, settings. It's the most amazing, breathtaking thing you've ever seen. His challenge is to put all of that in a movie."
