'How to Train Your Dragon 2' Trailer Debuts Showing New Characters and New Threats (WATCH)

It looks like the summer of 2014 will have a high-energy, fire-breathing, action-packed dragon story hitting theaters. The follow up to Dreamworks Animation's highly anticipated sequel to its massively successful "How To Train Your Dragon" has never felt like more of a reality now that the first full-length trailer has debuted.

"How to Train Your Dragon 2" will be flying into theaters a mere six months from now. Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, Craig Ferguson and many others will be returning to voice their respective characters. According to MTV News, the story takes place five years after the original film and the Vikings seem to have found a way to peacefully coexist with their once fierce enemies, the dragons.

The trailer begins with Hiccup and his dragon companion Toothless exploring and goofing around on a high peak. They each look a little older and Hiccup has clearly designed some new hardware. At the end of the first film, Hiccup lost his leg but seems to have bounced back quite well with a new prosthetic that forces the two wounded companions to rely on each other.

"Dragons used to be a bit of a problem, but now they've all moved in," he narrates as the trailer picks up steam. "With Vikings on the backs of dragons, the world just got a whole lot bigger."

This is seen to be true in the trailer as Hiccup discovers a dragon-rich area led by a mysterious tamer who confesses that she is Hiccup's long lost mother. She then warns him of a new threat coming to their shores that Hiccup will be forced to lead the Vikings and Dragons against one more time.
