Video game giant Nintendo announced a new installment of the popular series “Legend of Zelda” Wednesday, according to PCMag.com.
The new series will appear on the Nintendo 3DS and is scheduled to hit stores in time for the 2013 holiday season.
The game is expected to take place in the world of the 1992 game “The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.” (The game debuted for the Super Nintendo console in 1992).
According to Nintendo, one of the new features of the game "allows Link to become a drawing and move along walls."
Nintendo will also be coming out with a whole host of new games throughout 2013. Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, issued a statement about the upcoming game debuts Nintendo will be making in the future.
"Nintendo 3DS and Wii U continue to evolve into some of the best bets in gaming," he said."We've had an incredible 2013 so far with titles such as Fire Emblem Awakening and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and the rest of 2013 and beyond is even better."
Here are three more games Nintendo will be debuting this year according to MarketWatch.com:
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D: This game will be an update to the Wii version of the game and wil be available in stores on May 24.
Mario Golf: This game, set to debut this summer, will allow players with internet access to play other Nintendo 3DS gamers all across the world.
Mario and Donkey Kong, Minis on the Move: Players must figure out how to use the tiles at the bottom of the screen to get Mini Mario to his destination at the top of the screen. This game—with 180 stages and four modes—is available on May 9.
