George Zimmerman might leave Florida for good, a new report indicates.
Following a domestic incident with girlfriend Samantha Scheibe in which Zimmerman allegedly threatened her with a long-barreled shotgun, Zimmerman was forced to lay down all arms he possessed, including a Glock 19 handgun and an AR15 rifle, wear an ankle bracelet and was barred from leaving the state. But charges against the man acquitted for killing Trayvon Martin earlier this year were soon dropped, after Scheibe submitted a sworn statement saying she hadn't been entirely truthful.
Scheibe claimed she'd exaggerated the circumstances, fell under pressure from police questioning and said she wanted to stay with Zimmerman.
"When I was being questioned by police I felt very intimidated," she wrote in the legal document submitted by the prosecution. "I believe that the police misinterpreted me and that I may have misspoken about certain facts in my statement to police." Scheibe also added that Zimmerman, "never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner," and, "I want to be with George."
Now that charges against Zimmerman have been dropped and the travel ban lifted, the man Sanford, Fla. Resident who spent the past few years working at an insurance agency is free to roam, TMZ reports.. And, according to the New York Daily News, the Manassas, Va. native who moved to Florida after high school intends on leaving state where so many brushes with the law have occurred for a long time.
No word on where, exactly, Zimmerman's headed.
