Boston Marathon Explosion: Two Dead at Least 28 Injured After Two Explosions Go Off (SLIDESHOW/LIVE STREAM)

Two explosions have gone off Monday at around 2:50 p.m. at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

Early reports have confirmed two people are dead with at least 28 injured.

According to CNN, Boston area hospitals are reporting at least 49 people have been injured. Security has been heightened in major U.S. cities as a precaution. Also anti-terrorist security has been already been deployed to the Boston.

Authorities report another explosion at John F. Kennedy Library on William T Morrissey Blvd in Boston may be related.

According to the Boston Globe, Lenox Hotel, located only two tenths of a mile from Boylston Street, has been evacuated by authorities. CNN reported about half of those running in the marathon had finished the race before the explosion.

No terrorist organization has reported involvement in the explosions.

The race occurs during a holiday in Boston called, "Patriots Day" which may cause speculation about terrorist attacks.

President Barack Obama has been notified.
