New 3D App to View Kama Sutra Sexual Positions From All Angles

A new app offers Kama Sutra positions in 3D helping couples study sexual positions from all angles, Huffington Post reports.

The Kama Xcitra transforms the ancient Indian Hindu manuscript into holograms that appear in front of Smartphones or tablets and help couples study various sex positions at all angles. The new 3D app is based on one of the most ancient Hindu philosophical text. It is said that the sexual guide was written around 2,000 years ago. The new app also promises that it will help couples practice sexual positions from the original book.

"For more than two thousand years couples have turned to the Kama Sutra for advice and guidance on how to have a fulfilling love life," said Hazel Cushion, managing director of publisher Xcite Books. "But some of the more challenging positions like the Prone Tiger, the Catherine Wheel or the Peg have left readers a little baffled. That is until now."

The app, which uses the "state-of-the-art technology," will make the learning experience interesting and amusing. The image "pop-out" option will allow couples to view different angels as they appear as a 3D hologram in front of the phone or tablet.

"The viewer then moves their mobile device around to appreciate the position from all angles," Cushion said. "As a result, each position becomes clearer, finally solving the problem of where to put that awkward elbow."

The app features 69 poses from the original book. Users can also change the physical appearance of the models by changing their hair or skin color. They can also add music as a soundtrack to enhance the viewing experience.

The original book was first translated into English under the supervision of Victorian explorer, Richard Burton, in 1883.
