Google Inc. has added comprehensive sights of airports, trains, and subway stations to its Street View.
Google Street View was first launched in 2007 as an add-on in Google Maps and Google Earth that provides a wide view of the streets around the world. Its latest update is designed to make travelling a lot easier, relaxed and stress-free, the Internet search giant has decided to integrate a total of 16 airports and 50 train and subways stations to its Google Map’s Street View.
Ulf Spitzer, Google Street View program manager, told ABC News, “In addition to scoping out your destination, Street View can help you cut down the stress of traveling by giving you a preview of your journey, too.”
These new additions to Google’s Street View seemed especially designed for individuals who love to travel and those who plan their trips precisely step by step.
With Google Map’s Street View, foreign travelers who are not familiar with their destination can use the app as a guide. They can find the perfect way from the terminal to the baggage claims, and even up to car rental services.
Through this feature, vacationers may virtually travel around Venice and explore the city’s distinctiveness, fine-looking cityscape, and wealthy musical and artistic cultural legacy in amazement.
Tourists can also take pleasure in exploring Japan’s #1 tourist spot, the Shinjuku, a huge, jam-packed skyscraper district in Tokyo, Madrid’s Puerta del Sol, Madrid de los Austrias, and the Royal Theater in Plaza de la Ópera, and many other places around the globe.
Google’s extensive Street View would also benefit those travelers who are experiencing delayed flights or those who have missed their flights and nowhere else to go to.
Sorry to say, but, all of the transportation centers incorporated to Google Map’s Street View are outside the United States. Meaning to say, the Street View will not work as proposed in airports like LAX or JFK. However, Google’s Street View includes several transportation and aviation museums built around the United States.
