Ben Affleck Still Maintains a Good Relationship with Jennifer Lopez

Appearing on the cover of this week's The Hollywood Reporter, Ben Affleck reveals he's still in good terms with Jennifer Lopez and his other exes.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are arguably one of Hollywood's ideal couples. The duo has been married for seven years and have three kids two daughters, Violet, and Seraphina and son Samuel.

In an interview with the magazine, Affleck reveals he's still in good terms with ex fiancé Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow and his high school girlfriend, Cheyenne Rothman.

He said he may not ask Lopez for advice or anything but they're still good friends.

"We don't have the kind of relationship where she relies on me for advice, but we do have the kind of relationship where there'll be an e-mail saying, 'Oh, your movie looks great,'" Affleck said. "I remember when she got 'American Idol.' I said: 'This was really smart. Good luck.' I touch base.

"I respect her. I like her. She's put up with some stuff that was unfair in her life, and I'm really pleased to see her successful," he said.

So what's so different about Garner that attracted him to her.

"She truly is kind. She means no one any harm. She doesn't have ill will for any person. She's not competitive with other people," he said. "She's not spiteful. It's one of those things where it becomes almost aggravating at times. Every time I go, 'F--- him!' I see in her face that she just thinks that's petty and small."

Affleck also says he feels lucky for where he stands now with family and his career.

"I'm very lucky. I am at a place where I feel tremendously grateful," the director told US Weekly. "I have a great family. I'm very inspired by where my career is right now. I'm fortunate. I've seen a lot of different things that have happened to others, I'm happy with where I am."

Despite his high status, there are still a few people Affleck would love to work with in the future.

"There are so many. Benicio Del Toro, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, to Marlon Brando, although that feels like a long shot," he said. "[Robert] De Niro is great. Bradley Cooper is a friend of mine, I'd love to work with him. Christian Bale. Leonardo DiCaprio is a great guy, I'd love to work with him. George Clooney is somebody I haven't been in a movie with. He is just a fantastic actor, I'd love to work with him."
