One Direction's Niall Horan Defends Miley Cyrus After X Factor Performance Slamming

One Direction member Niall Horan took to his Twitter account to defend Miley Cyrus after she was slammed for her "Wrecking Ball" performance at the X Factor Results show Monday night

A signature Miley Cyrus performance usually involves some twerking, revealing outfits and a controversial act. Hence, it came as no surprise that the songstress' latest performance at the X Factor Results show came with its fair share of "Headline making" news. Earlier it was reported that Cyrus refused to pre-record vocals for her "Wrecking Ball" performance on the talent hunt show. Later, her performance was reportedly a disaster with one twitter user even saying that Cyrus sounded like a "goat" on the show, the Hollywood Life reported.

"Why is Miley Cyrus crying on a mountain?" one Twitter commenter tweeted

"I think even I could sing Wrecking Ball better than Miley Cyrus just did," another viewer tweeted

"No one should ever let Miley Cyrus sing live again," read one comment.

Later that night, One Direction member Niall Horan took to his Twitter account to defend the singer saying her performance was great as usual.

"Sick! @MileyCyrus was incredible tonight, what a voice," he wrote.

Horan was at the studio during Cyrus' live performance and said being there made him feel very nostalgic.

"It was great to be back home @TheXFactor today! Love that place! Seeing all the crew and contestants and Dermot! So nerve wrecking though," he tweeted.

It seems like the whole, or at least most of the One Direction band members have a soft corner for the former Hannah Montana. Earlier, reports had it that Harry Styles also was in awe of Cyrus and the two have been text buddies since Halloween.

Apparently, after Styles dressed up as Cyrus for a Halloween party this year, he texted the "Last Song" actress to make sure she hadn't taken offense at his getup. She assured him she hadn't and the two have been sending "flirty" texts to each other ever since, reports Capital FM.
