A family of a brain tumor patient is now accusing a Houston doctor who offered an alternative cancer treatment for $25,000. In desperate hopes, the family believed that he could cure their six-year-old son even if the hospital doctors have told them they couldn't save the boy.

Josia Cotto, 6, N.J has battled with the fatal disease for 10 months. Although 83 percent of pediatric cancer cases in the U.S can now be cured, it was not the case for Josia's condition. The family was left with no choice but to turn to Stanislaw Burzynski, 70, who claimed he can cure "inoperable pediatric brainstem tumors."

Two months ago, the family brought Josia to the Burzynski Clinic and paid $25,000 upfront for the "antineoplastons" which he claimed that have cured over 8,000 patients since 1977 with 200 of them having Josia's same medical condition. However, the poor boy failed to survive.

According to the USA Today investigation, Burzynski is not a board passer and has no formal training in oncology. However, he managed to develop his own miracle drug which he dubbed as "antineoplastons" using blood and urine. He got the urine from public parks, bars and penitentiaries. None of his drugs were approved by the U.S Food and Drug Administration and yet he is giving it to those with AIDS, lupus and other medical conditions.

Some attest that the "antineoplastons" have cured them. However, the National Cancer Institute warned that aside from there is no medically-approved proof that it cured any patient, it could also cause coma, brain infection, and death.

Burzynski has been in the business for 36 years which people blame from the poor system. The Texas state laws protect people like him from losing their licenses and being liable on causing damages to the patients. He was able to escape over 75 felony charges as his supporters stood by him.
