The North American launch of the PS4 is only a few hours away. On the eve of the beginning of the next-gen console wars, a lot of die hard fans of the PlayStation have already made up their minds as to which console they'll be purchasing. Odds are good that, at this point in the game, if you've made up your mind about the important broad strokes about buying a next-gen console, like which one and which games to buy at launch, you'll now be wanting to give some thought to which accessories you'll want to augment your PS4 experience with. Below is a list of the best extras to help augment your new system, courtesy of IGN.

Extra Controllers: Above all else the PlayStation 4 is a social device. If you and your siblings or friends are looking forward to gathering around the TV and playing some brand new games, an extra controller is the only way to go. The new DualShock 4 will run users about $60. The DualShock 4 Controller comes with a trackpad built-in as well as a "Share" button to help people socialize with their friends and show off clips.

Camera: The biggest feature from Microsoft's Xbox One that the PlayStation will have to battle against is the Kinect motion sensor camera. However, PlayStation 4 comes with its very own equivalent camera however, it will cost a little extra money. The Camera is less of a necessity on the PlayStation 4 as it is on the Xbox One but if you're willing to foot the extra $60, you can add another level of depth to your gaming experience and still come in $40 shy of the Xbox One's total cost.

Controller Chargers: IGN recommends three chargers all in the same general price range. These items aren't actually necessary but they certainly help save money on batteries long-term. The Kyko Charge Base, PDP Charging Station and the Power A Charging Station are all available from third-party companies for $29.99, $29.99 and $24.99 respectively.

Smart Clip: The Nyko Smart Clip is available on Amazon for $9.99 which offers users the chance to snap their smartphone to their controller. This will be useful for those using the iOS or Android app for the PlayStation 4. This will transform your gaming experience into a two-screen experience.
