Speculations of Samsung releasing a cheaper version of the Galaxy S III have been been making the rounds on the Internet. The company's mobile division head JK Shin put all those rumors to rest confirming that a smaller version of Galaxy S III flagship smartphone will be launched in Europe on Thursday.
Samsung will look to meet the increasing European demand for a 4-inch smartphone with its Galaxy S III mini and will take a step ahead in raising competition against Apple's newly released iPhone 5.
"There's a lot of demand for a 4-inch screen device in Europe. Some may call it an entry-level device, but we call it 'mini,'" Shin told the Korean media, inews24.
Although he refused to give any further details on the device which is due to be launched on Oct. 11 in Germany, he confirmed that it won't be an entry-level handset but will have a full form factor.
The South Korean mobile phone manufacture had recently announced its Galaxy Music and Music duos smartphones which are expected to hit the market sometime in the coming weeks.
