Ryan Gosling Eva Mendes Split up: Couple On the Rocks Over Jealousy Issues

The two-year relationship of one of Hollywood’s beautiful couples Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes is reportedly on the rocks due to jealousy issues.

The two were formally introduced when they were both chosen as lead characters and asked to spend months in New York filming the movie The Place Beyond the Pines.

Not long after, the two were frequently seen spending time together even after filming hours or days. One of their public appearance together was in September 2011 when they were spotted happily dating in Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. Another incident was when they went to Paris to spend the Thanksgiving holiday together.

According to rumors, in January 2012, the 39-year old Mendes, had even met the 32-year old Gosling’s mother who attended her college graduation implying that the two were really getting serious with their relationship.

Unfortunately, the two is heard to be on the brink of splitting up because of jealousy issues. One source told Entertainmentwise.com, “He can be moody, and she’s insecure. She sees a text from a mystery number and assumes he’s talking to other girls.”

Mendes, who once loved gushing about her man, now, can't stand hearing his name.

A friend of hers told Entertainmentwise.com, “She shuts down anyone who brings up Ryan.” The friend added, “It’s clear something is wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if they split for good soon.”

Rumors say that Mendes found comfort and console in the arms of his ex-lover George August, whom she has dated from 2002 to 2010.

A source was even quoted telling Heat Magazine, "Augusto seems to think Eva's done with Ryan - he claims it's just a matter of time before she dumps him officially.”

“She's been crying on his shoulder about her problems with Ryan wanting to settle down - and as a result Eva and George have become close again," The source added.

Settling down includes the issue of having kids – something that Eva is not really open about.

She even told Marie Claire, “I don't wanna have kids ... I love the little suckers; they're so cute. But I love sleep so much, and I worry about everything," adding, "I feel like the institution of marriage is a very archaic kinda thing. I don't think it fits in my world today.”

With her saying that, maybe, just maybe, they are really going straight to splitting up.
