Ravenswood Episode 2 Review: Miranda the Friendly Ghost; Is this a Good Idea?

Fans were promised that Miranda’s connection to the supernatural would be revealed in Tuesday’s episode—and it was.

So she’s a ghost??

Did anyone see that coming? You can make the case that there were hints she was going to die. One of the first clues was her name on the inside of a crypt.

Nevertheless, turning her into a ghost did catch me a slightly off guard. I previously mentioned turning her into a witch would be a bad idea and, to be honest, I’m not sure if having her as a ghost is any better.

This raises a few questions going forward

No. 1—Does this mean she will can only communicate with Caleb?

Hopefully Miranda will be able to leave the house soon. It would not be fun if the only person she can interact with is Caleb.

No. 2—Is anyone else going to die?

There were a few clues in the first episode that hinted every person in that car should have died. Also it seems someone, or something, is still trying to kill the other four kids. Is someone going to be joining Miranda in the ghost realm soon?

No. 3—So, does this mean no “Miranda/Haleb” ship?

If Miranda’s dead, doesn’t that hurt any potential relationship she could have with Caleb? As of right now, it seems Caleb is too freaked out to develop any feelings for Miranda. Nevertheless, “Haleb” may still not be safe on Hanna’s end.

These are preliminary questions since I know the writers can take the show on a number of paths and answer these questions in one script. Nevertheless, Miranda the friendly ghost does carry the story in an interesting direction.

“Ravenswood” airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC Family.
