Given the recent announcement that season six of HBO's "Game of Thrones" will premiere later than usual (insert sad face emoji), fan are thankful for any and all information they can get to hold them over in the meantime. That's why we're thanking both the old gods and the new for this tiny tidbit actress Diana Rigg, who plays the wonderfully sharp Olenna Tyrell, revealed recently.

"I've got a head-on with Cersei coming up and it's really good," Rigg told the Digital Spy.

Like I said, it's a tiny tidbit, but it does reveal something.

Cersei and the Tyrells have been at odds for some time now as each is trying desperately to maintain their hold on power. Rigg's comments confirm that her character will still be in King's Landing following the imprisonment of her grandchildren Queen Margaery (married to Tommen Baratheon) and Ser Loras Tyrell. What's especially interesting about that turn of events is that it was secretly spearheaded by Cersei herself, so hopefully that truth is revealed throughout the course of their confrontation.

Back in season five, Cersei empowered the High Sparrow and the Faith Militant to arrest Loras for his sexual orientation. The Faith then imprisoned Margaery for providing false testimony on her brother's behalf. At the time, Cersei thought she had struck a devastating blow to the Tyrells, but the High Sparrow quickly turned his sights on the Queen Regent for all of her past, err, transgressions.

Watching Olenna and Cersei trade thinly veiled barbs and matching wits will undoubtedly be a highlight of season six. Olenna certainly has plenty of ammo after Cersei's crushing Walk of Shame. But will their conflict actually lead to a power change? That remains to be seen.

"Game of Thrones" is expected to return in late April or early May of 2016.
