Jimmy Fallon may be the most accident prone host in late night television history.

Over the weekend, Fallon was taken to the Massachusetts General Hospital after he fell and cut his hand on a bottle of Jägermeister during a celebration at Harvard University. The host explained exactly what happened to his right hand Monday night on "The Tonight Show." This second injury came after he severely injured his left hand four months ago.

"Welcome to the Tonight Show, I'm your host Trippy Fallon," the late night host started his monologue as he wore a yellow construction hat and safety glasses.

"I've had another mishap. This time I injured my other hand right after getting an award from Harvard," Fallon later told his audience as he showed off "Sesame Street" Band-Aids.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, Fallon was honored with the Emerson Award for Excellence in Humor by Harvard's humor magazine, "Harvard Lampoon." Fallon explained that he was given the bottle of Jägermeister and tripped over a girl who he did not see.

"This hand was already gone," Fallon said as he pointed to his previously injured left hand. "So I threw the bottle and I just landed on broken glass."

Fallon explained that he was fine, but went to the hospital to make sure there were not any remaining fragments of glass in his wound.

"This time, I injured my other hand right after getting an award from Harvard," he said. "Even after getting into Harvard, I still embarrass my parents."
