“Castle” fans continue to wait for the next logical step in the “Caskett” relationship—marriage. Well, according to a recent interview EOnline did with Stana Katic (Beckett), fans may be waiting a bit longer.
"I think these two characters have strong opinions, and that will create a lot of conflict and opportunity for romance and interest, hopefully," Katic explains. "It would be a new version of the show.
“I think that they did a nice job of kind of shifting it into the romance last year, and now finally into the engagement, and I'm already filming episode seven or eight, and it seems like they're doing a great job of kind of creating that shift."
This past Monday, Beckett was fired for leaking the name of a possible CIA asset to the press. This most likely means that Castle (Nathan Fillion) won’t be leaving the loft to travel to the condo he just bought in D.C. anytime soon. You know who will be leaving the loft? Alexis (Molly Quinn). To Move in With Pi (Myko Oliver).
Needless to say, Castle isn’t going to be approving of Alexis’ new residence.
"Castle does not respond well at all," Quinn recently told TVGuide. "He's angry about it because he knows how [he himself has treated] women, but he's not the kind of parent who can say no."
So to recap, Castle’s relationship may hit a rough patch and his daughter is moving into an apartment with a guy who makes papaya stake. Things aren’t going to be easy for our favorite author.
“Castle” airs Mondays, at 10/9c on ABC.
