Warner Bros. is expected to start shooting "Wonder Woman" next month and fans still have no idea what ground the movie will cover or how it will fit into the DC Extended Universe. Heck, we don't even know if Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman will be well received in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

But today comes some new information from JoBlo & Heroic Hollywood that may help paint a clearer picture of the film's story, villains and other important characters. These rumored spoilers are still unconfirmed at the moment though, so take the site's report with a heaping o salt.

Previous rumors had hinted that "Wonder Woman" could play out over two distinct time periods. HH is reporting that this indeed the case.

"Wonder Woman will take place in two key timeframes, World War 1 and Modern Day. According to our sources, the film follows very closely to the comic book, which is rooted very heavily in the mythological elements. It sounds very much like Wonder Woman is the Thor of the DCCU, so that should give you a basis of where she fits into the massive paradigm they're building."

As a demi-god, it makes sense that Diana would have a long enough life span to effectively cover both World War II and the present day. But what kind of villain could be wreaking havoc in both time periods as well?

"Both Circe and Ares will be the main villains, although Ares will act as more of a 'puppet master' pulling the strings behind the scenes, while working in cahoots with Circe. Ares will be decked out in his classic mythological armor (typically portrayed as Greek hoplite or Roman gladiator armor, while Circe will have a cloth-based purple get up. Again, both will be close to the designs from the comic with the usual 'movietization' upgrades. As far as the potential casting of Eva Green and Sean Bean, I can't say, but if that happened I'd be fully on board...

"In addition, expect to see many mythological/mystical creatures scattered throughout (there is even mention of a visit to Olympus, but the context of that is unknown). Ares will employ an army of beasts that are described as red or green demonic monsters with horns and wings that will be sent to kill Wonder Woman at some point in the film to keep her from stopping Circe."

"The plot of the movie will follow Diana/Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) in the present time as they attempt to defeat Circe, who is attempting to orchestrate World War III at the behest of Ares. Oh, and you'll also get to see the Invisible Jet which  is awesome.

But that's not all. In addition to all of the nods to the original comic book, "Wonder Woman" will also be directly tied to some upcoming DCEU entries and that opens the door for some awesome cross-over opportunities.

"The Wonder Woman solo film will actually take place a few months BEFORE the events of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

"In addition to that, the Caped Crusader is said to appear in the film when Diana fights Ares' winged demonic minions, watcher her save civilian lives during the battle. This could simply be a shot of Batman from a rooftop observing or something more, but his presence will be there. After the film's finale, Batman will approach Wonder Woman in some regard to let her know he is aware of her, establishing a relationship that leads to her involvement in BVS."

"Wonder Woman" is scheduled to hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
