Elizabeth Banks will make her hosting debut on "Saturday Night Live" next month with musical guest Disclosure.

Banks will be promoting her role in the next and last installment of "The Hunger Games" franchise, "Mockingjay - Part 2." Her hosting gig comes on the heels of her direction of "Pitch Perfect 2" and her critically-acclaimed role in "Love & Mercy."

Disclosure will perform for the first time on TV music from their new sophomore album, "Caracal." The British electronic music duo will welcome special guests Sam Smith and Lorde, who each recorded songs with the group on the album.

Lip Sync Battle Returns Early For A Holiday Special

The Spike TV faux-singing competition show will air a special holiday-themed episode featuring "The Night Before" stars Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie, according to Vulture. The bonus episode, hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen, will feature "surprise" guests and air on Nov. 19.

Shondaland Developing 'Romeo and Juliet" Sequel TV Series

ABC has in development an adaptation of the 2013 book "Still Star-Crossed" from "Scandal" and "Grey's Anatomy" producer Heather Mitchell and produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, according to Variety. The story picks up after the deaths of Romeo and Juliet from Shakespeare's famous play and follows the conflict between the Capulet and Montague families in the wake of their children's tragedy.

ABC Cancels "The Whispers"

ABC announced on Thursday it had cancelled its freshman drama "The Whispers," about an unseen force that was manipulating children to work for an unknown enemy. The series, produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television, was based on Ray Bradbury's 1951 short story "Zero Hour," which focused on a series of accidents that occurred around kids that communicated with the same imaginary friend called Drill.

ABC Family Renews "Switched At Birth"

Days before its fourth season finale, ABC Family renewed the blended-family drama for a fifth season. The series will reach a milestone, 100 episodes, in its next season, which will premiere in January 2016 under the channel's rebranded name, Freeform.

GREASE LIVE: "Throw your mittens around your kittens and away we go!" Mario Lopez has signed on to play Vince Fontaine, a.k.a. DJ Vince, the popular radio host, in Fox's upcoming live musical event, according to Vulture.

He joins a cast that includes Aaron Tveit (Danny), Julianne Hough (Sandy), Vanessa Hudgens (Rizzo) and Carly Rae Jepsen (Frenchy). The special will air on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016 at 7 p.m. on Fox.

THE LAST SHIP: "Agent Carter" star Bridget Regan will jump the Marvel ship to join the TNT summer drama in season three, according to Deadline. She will play Sasha, a former Navy Intelligence Officer now operating under diplomatic cover in China for the newly reformed United States government.

CHICAGO MED: Brennan Brown is joining the new NBC medical drama as a cantankerous, irritable but brilliant neurosurgeon (sound familiar?), according to TVLine. He will play Dr. Sam Adams who's described as having "no patience for young, cocky, privileged, hot-headed doctors who lack his old-school work ethic. Though his bedside manner is lacking, his surgical skills make up for his astringent attitude."
