As usual the Oscars 2013 was a glamorous event with leading ladies in the celebrity world turning up at the prestigious event looking their best.
White and pastel colors dominated the 85th Academy Awards with top actresses wearing wavy tresses and pale hued gowns paired with strapless silhouettes.
Jennifer Lawrence owned the night after winning the Award for the Best Actress for her film "Silver Linings Playbook" and being one of the best dressed ladies of the night. The "Hunger Games" star wore a white Christian Dior gown paired with a silver clutch and simple jewelry.
Anne Hathaway, who won Best Actress in a Supporting Role for "Les Miserables" shed her trademark Valentino gowns for a charming light pink duchesse satin backless column gown by Prada. Her co-actress Amanda Seyfried looked nothing less in an Alexander McQueen gown and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
"The Mad Max: Fury Road" actress Charlize Theron didn't fail to impress in a stunning Dior Haute Couture dress and Harry Winston silver jewels. Adele, who took home the Award for the Best Original Score for her song in the Bond film "Skyfall" kept it simple with a black Jenny Packham dress and Christian Louboutin heels.
Jennifer Aniston looked as gracious as always in a nude embroidered silk tulle dress from Valentino's SS13 Haute Couture collection. Actress Nicole Kidman chose to wear a slinky black-and-gold sequined gown for the event. Catherine Zeta-Jones resorted to an embroidered gold beaded mermaid gown from the Zuhair Murad Spring/Summer 2013 Couture Collection, accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and paired with a pair of Pelle Moda heels.
Salma Hayek chose a blue velvet gown with a gold embellished collar by Alexander McQueen and carried the label's gold skull box clutch.
