A man, armed with only a stick and his vehicle, crashed into Waco Regional Airport Thursday and allegedly tried to steal an executive jet, Texas authorities reported.

The Texas man was able to gain entry by crashing the gate of the airport and went directly into the tarmac. He then proceeded into a parked Lear Jet. The Texas Aero staff witnessed the man as he removed the tire chocks and entering the jet, Fox News reported.

The employees immediately alerted a Waco police officer who was off-duty during the incident. The officer tried to make the man stand down for eventually needed to use a taser on him.

"Our officer approached the suspect who was armed with a stick and refused to cooperate with the officers instructions. The suspect was tased several times with no effect, forcing our officer to have to physically restrain him. Texas Aero employees saw the officer struggling with the individual and came to assist. Those employees helped the officer subdue the individual, and all were able to handcuff him," the Waco Police Department said, according to Inquisitr.
