Caitlyn Jenner has filed the necessary paperwork in order for her to be legally declared a woman.

The documents were filed before the L.A. County Superior Court on Tuesday, where Jenner has asked to legally change her name as well as her gender.

However, Jenner is having apprehensions about providing the judge information "because of physical threats," even though she has gained a lot of support, TMZ reported

The transgender star has received threats from people who want to hurt her, and she believes it will worsen if she gives her medical history and any other personal information.

For that reason, Jenner has asked the judge to keep the private information confidential, according to Wonderwall.

The star formerly known as Bruce Jenner officially came out as transgender in an interview with Diane Sawyer in April. When Sawyer asked, "Are you a woman?" the 65-year-old reality star said, "Yes, for all intents and purposes, I am a woman.''

Two months later, Jenner made her big reveal on the cover of Vanity Fair's July issue with the title "Call me Caitlyn." Since then she has made numerous appearances around the country, even receiving an award for courage at the ESPYs in July.
