While gamers are still rejoicing over the release of GTA V, another open world game, Dark Souls II, was announced at the Tokyo game conference Wednesday, for  Xbox 360 and PlayStation  to be released March 3, 2014.

The Dark Soul sequel will be coming to North America March 11, next year. However, the Europeans will be receiving the game three days later after its U.S. launch, as confirmed by the game publisher, Namco Bandai, reports IGN.  The PC version for the game is likely to come to the market shortly after it marks its presence over the consoles.  For the gaming enthusiasts who can't wait that long, a beta version of the game is slated for an Oct.1 launch.

The game will also be accompanied by a collector's Edition that will include the official soundtrack, an art-book, 12-inch figurine (Warrior Knight Statue) and a fabric map. Namco Bandai showed a teaser of the game at the Tokyo game conference featuring a new tagline for the Dark Soul sequel, 'Go Beyond Death" hinting at the expected gore-ish aspect of the game.

The Dark Soul sequel has done away with Humanity, according to Forbes. The players have to be extremely careful as they will lose more Max HP. They will be losing a part of their life each time they die and can only save themselves on earning the in-game collectible Human Effigy.

The game encourages more violence as compared to its earlier edition and can add up to three players at a time. Although, this time the added player will not exit the game play after defeating the boss, instead the player will be allowed to use different sized Soapstones to increase his life span. The added life span keeps on reducing every time on hitting an enemy. The player can also ask for help from the added members if they belong to the Way of the Blue covenant. In simpler words, the newly added feature acts as a life savior for players.

Stat elements like Agility and Dexterity determine movement and a level of damage for the players.
