It's the moment that we've all been waiting for. Many have spoken out on-and an endless amount of articles have been written about-Cote de Pablo leaving NCIS. However, the one person we haven't heard from-and the one person we really want to hear from-is Gibbs (Mark Harmon).

Harmon appeared last night on the Arsenio Hall show and discussed the "change" that the show will have to go through and how the show has lasted for so long.

"I don't know 11 years ago when this show debuted in New York, I don't know that anybody at the network or anywhere else was saying 'This is the show to watch,'" Harmon explained to Hall.

"This show's had a lot of changes. We've managed to get better with the changes both behind the camera and in front of the camera. We have another change this year with Cote leaving and it's up to this highly professional group to use that as a springboard to improve and stay NO. 1."

Oh, and if any of you are wondering where the DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) head slap originates from there's a funny story behind that. Check out the interview below posted by YouTube use Full Shows HD:

Although de Pablo's departure is arguably the biggest loss "NCIS" has suffered Harmon, Weatherly and executive producer Gary Glasberg have assured fans the show will move forward. You can check out Weatherly's comments here and Glasberg's letter to fans here.

"Season 11" of NCIS premieres Tuesday, Sept. 24, 8/7c on CBS.
