New BFFs Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer are currently writing a screenplay together. Lawrence revealed the news in a Wednesday interview with the New York Times.

The actress said the movie they are penning, a comedy, is a vehicle for them to co-star as sisters.

“We’re almost done writing,” Lawrence told the New York Times. “It just flowed out of us…. Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life.”

Schumer’s real life sister Kim Caramele — who writes for Comedy Central's “Inside Amy Schumer” and was an associate producer for the movie “Trainwreck” — is also helping craft the script.

Lawrence explained that she only met Schumer a short time ago. She emailed the comedian after seeing her film “Trainwreck” to tell her that she was “in love” with her. “We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting,” said Lawrence, according to the New York Times.

Schumer then invited Lawrence to go on vacation with her and her friends — and the trip pics uploaded to social media had everyone talking, as previously reported by HNGN.

“She’s the coolest chick you’ll ever meet,” said Schumer about Lawrence on the Aug. 3 episode of “The Daily Show,” according to Vanity Fair. “She’s the best hang, she was like one of the gang.”

Lawrence, 25, is next up in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2,” which hits movie theaters Nov. 20.

Schumer, 34, is coming off a busy summer in which her debut major motion picture, “Trainwreck,” did outstanding at the box office. She is about to go on tour as part of the Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival 2015, and, in September, she will serve as the opening act for Madonna’s three New York City concerts, as previously reported by HNGN.
