"The Goonies" house, located in Astoria, Ore., has been permanently closed to the public by the owner of the property after she was sent over the edge by littering tourists. The house, famous for the "Truffle Shuffle" scene, used to attract as many as 1,500 visitors a day. The owner of the property decided to shut down access to the public after she was fed-up with some of the visitors, who would leave cigarette butts and beer bottles all over the property, according to /FILM.

The two-story house, has now been covered with a blue tarp and several signs reading "Private Property" and "Access Closed to Goonies House" have been placed in front of the building to warn people to stay away from the premises, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"Imagine that you buy a house, fix it up, spend money, time and love. Then the city of Astoria encourages 100,000's of people to come and stand in front and view it ... This driveway (maintained by homeowners) sees 1,000+ people every day. Most are kind, fun and welcome, but many are not," says a scribbled note in front of the property.

"I'm surprised that she waited this long," Astoria City Councilman and neighbor Russ Warr said. Visitors "park in the no-parking zones, they park on the sidewalks" and "relieve their dogs on the lawns," he added, KGW reported.
