Beloved '90s hit series "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" is about to get flipped, turned upside-down. The show is scheduled for an update as a reboot is in the works, TV Line reported. Original star Will Smith is reportedly on board as the show's producer.

Overbrook Entertainment, owned by Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, will oversee the production which is in the early stages of development, according to TV Line's multiple sources. The reboot aims to put a new spin on the classic storyline.

Smith, 46, became a household name and rose to fame as the main character on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," playing the character Will, who relocates from West Philadelphia to live in the Bel-Air mansion owned by his relatives, the affluent Banks family. The show revolved around Will's antics as he tried to fit in with their lifestyle. The original series starred Tatyana Ali, Alfonso Ribeiro and Karyn Parsons as Will's cousins Ashley, Carlton and Hilary Banks, according to IMDB. Actress Daphne Reid played the role of Will's aunt Vivian, and the late James Avery played Will's uncle Phil.

The series is just another '90s sitcom that's slated for an update, Us Weekly reported. "Full House," "The X-Files" and "Boy Meets World" are all scheduled for revivals. No word yet on whether "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" will be a revival or a classic reboot.
