Universal Pictures announced Tuesday that the most-anticipated fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise will hit the big screens June 12, 2015, with a new title "Jurassic World."

The mammoth creatures are ready to thrill the audience from the big theater screens. Universal Pictures have a date and a new title for the much-awaited sequel to the Jurassic Park III. The motion picture studio announced Tuesday that the next installment of the Jurassic Park franchise - "Jurassic World" will hit the theaters June 12, 2015.

Colin Trevorrow will direct the epic action-adventurous film with a script from his "Safety Not Guaranteed" writer Derek Connolly. Besides the fact that Steven Spielberg will be producing the upcoming project and that it will be shot in 3D, further details about the film remain scanty.

As for the cast and crew, stars Richard Attenborough and Jeff Goldblum will reportedly return to play their original roles in the movie as John Hammond and Ian Malcolm, according to Contact Music.

The franchise has been one of the highest-grossing films. The first three films in the series have grossed $1.9 billion at the box office and the 3D re-release of the first Jurassic Park (1993) turned in $114 million globally.

The film was originally set to release in 2014, but with a further push, the movie will now be released in an already-packed 2015 summer of sequels including The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Star Wars: Episode VII and the Man of Steel sequel.
