A man was arrested in England on suspicion of burglary, trespassing and criminal damage after he scaled a fence to gain entry to Buckingham Palace.
The Metropolitan Police told BBC they'd found the guy "in an area currently open to the public during the day" at around 22:20 BST, Monday.
British police also said that another man had been arrested in front of the Queen's home. They took him in on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary, the BBC reported.
One spokesperson said that an investigation into the curious dual events was being conducted.
"A review of the specific circumstances of this incident is being carried out," the spokesperson, who went unnamed, stated. "No members of the Royal Family were at Buckingham Palace at the time of the incident."
According to CNN, the alleged break-in has caused security to ramp up its presence at the Palace, at least for the time being.
Buckingham Palace has yet to release a statement on the matter.
This isn't the first time someone's broken into the Queen's home.
Michael Fagan was found and arrested in Queen Elizabeth II's bedroom in 1982 after he gained entry by shimmying up a drainpipe.
Reports from the time of the event indicate the Queen woke up to find him sitting at the foot of her bed.
