A recent tweet from Ian Somerhalder has led to wild speculation that the actor is reading the screenplay for "Fifty Shades of Grey".
The buzz around who will be playing the role of Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of E.L. James' novel "Fifty Shades of Grey" continues to grow. Recently, Somerhalder and Matt Bomer, along with, Henry Cavill have been touted to be the top contenders for the role.
Two weeks earlier, a tweet by film producer Dana Brunetti led to a strong speculation that Cavill has been offered the role. Now, a tweet by "Vampire Diaries" hottie Somerhalder has come as yet another strong teaser.
"On set preparing scene for TVD, Reading movie script and California dreaming on such a winter's day...Thankful for multi-tasking brain," tweeted Somerhalder.
Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who reportedly has been working on the screenplay of the film, has finished.
But admittedly, the "script" that Somerhalder mentions in his tweet could be that of "Vampire Diaries" as well. The actor became a household name thanks to his blood-sucking role, but it seems he's looking to break out into something bigger.
Marcel revealed that as far as she knew, no one had been cast for any role and even if they were, the news wouldn't be revealed until later.
"This thing is very, very closely guarded," said Marcel in an interview over the phone. "There are shredders arriving at my house at this moment, because in LA my trash was gone through. Who is playing Christian, who is playing Anna -- seriously, people are rabid about this thing."
