Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert may be headed toward divorce, but they still remain friends who can tweet at each other.

Shelton tweeted at Lambert first on Friday in a message that also promoted singer Ashley Monroe's new album "The Blade." The series of tweets that followed confused many fans of the country star couple that were devastated by the divorce news.

One fan even questioned whether "The Voice" coach had pre-set the tweet to publish before he and Lambert announced their split. Shelton shut that down quick.


Earlier in the day, Shelton also had some fun with the paparazzi when he stepped out in Los Angeles pushing a baby stroller. "Just takin' the stroller to the car," he told the photographers. He then placed the stroller in the back of a black Range Rover.

When asked if he had any regrets about his failed relationship, the "Boys 'Round Here' singer joked, "Yeah, man. I shoulda drank more today."

A rep for Shelton told Entertainment Tonight that his client "knew the paparazzi was there and was just being funny." Lambert thought it was pretty funny, too.
