When the “NBA 2K14” features were announced, it was emphasized that they were for the current gen-version of the game. So, this begs the question—How much better can the game get on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4?
When you compare the current gen features announced for “NBA 2K14” and the next-gen features for “NBA Live 14,” they’re pretty similar.
Here is a list of some similar features the two games have in common.
--Dribbling advancements
--Deeper and Team-Specific playbooks
--Up-to-date rosters
--More animations
--Blocked Dunks
--a version of career mode
This most likely means “NBA 2K14” will carry over most of its features from the current-gen version over to the next-gen version. There could be some additions with the expanded potential developers get courtesy of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. However, for the most part, the features will likely remain the same.
If it turns out that 2K Sports’ next gen version of “NBA 2K14” is much more advanced than its version for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3—outside of obvious areas such as graphics and social media sharing—EA Sports may be in trouble.
Unless 2K Sports brings a better version of Crew Mode to the next-gen consoles, the highly-requested features is one area in which the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game will be lacking.
There is already controversy surrounding the return of Crews. However, to not have it in the next-gen form of the game at all may make fans even more upset.
What advancements do you think 2K Sports can make to its next-gen version of the game that won’t be on its current gen version?
