Avengers 2 Villain News: Joss Whedon Talks About His Plans for Ultron

The second Avengers movie may not be scheduled to hit theaters until 2015 but that doesn't mean that fans aren't clamoring for every little bit of information they can find out about what nerd genius Joss Whedon has in store for the sequel.

At Comic-Con it was revealed that the movie would be called "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which means unless it is the most misleading title in movie history that the Marvel super team will have to fight the power hungry robot Ultron.

In the comic books Ultron has such a staggering number of powers that he is darn near invincible. Some of his powers include superhuman strength and speed, ability to fly, rays that he can shoot out of his eyes and hands and the ability to control people's minds. Add to that some genius intellect and the fact that he's a robot made out of adamantium and Ultron is an unbelievably powerful foe.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Whedon explained some of his ideas for bringing Ultron to the big screen. Whedon mentioned that he is going to take away some of Ultron's abilities to give him some vulnerability audiences can relate to.

"I knew right away what I wanted to do with him," Whedon told Entertainment Weekly. "He's always trying to destroy the Avengers, g*****n it, he's got a bee in his bonnet. He's not a happy guy, which means he's an interesting guy. He's got pain. And the way that manifests is not going to be standard robot stuff. So we'll take away some of those powers because at some point everybody becomes magic, and I already have someone who's a witch."

The witch that Whedon is referring to is the character Scarlet Witch who will be making her debut in the Marvel film universe in the film. The part has yet to be cast but there are rumors that Elizabeth Olsen, sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley, might be getting the role, according to MTV News.
