Former boy band member Raz B has made a "miraculous" recovery and is now in stable condition. According to TMZ, Raz B, whose real name is De'Mario Monte Thorton, was in a coma and on life support over the weekend and was listed in critical condition.

A source close to the singer told TMZ that he is now awake, smiling and in stable condition. He reportedly came out of the coma on Sunday at a hospital in China. He hasn't been released from the hospital yet and is expected to stay emitted a few more days so doctors can follow on him.

Raz B's rep told TMZ that doctors say it was a miracle that he even survived. On Friday, the 28-year-old was performing at a nightclub in China when a fight reportedly broke out in the crowd. He went and tried to help break up the fight and was smashed in the face with a glass bottle.

The singer was taken to the hospital where he had a minor, routine surgery to fix a cut on his lip but the next day he didn't wake up.

"He's in a coma and needs as many prayers as possible," Raz B's rep Toy Jones told TMZ at the time.

According to reports, he was tested by doctors for brain activity and was immediately out in a ventilator. The singer had told recently told TMZ, that he was planning on moving back to the United States to prepare for a big music comeback.

He moved to China three years ago. He rose to fame as a part of the group B2K along with Omarion, Lil Fizz and J-Boog. Last year, he was rushed to the hospital while in China after he fell through a glass door in his hotel room. A shard of glass shattered nerves, tendons and ligaments in his wrist; it took him three months to heal from that wound.
