It's not every day you get a surprise visit from the actual singer of the song your singing. Ed Sheeran did just that to 13-year-old Sydney Bourbeau when he heard her singing Sheeran's song, "Thinking Out Loud" as part of the Edmonton Humane Society's fundraising event, according to The Huffington Post.

"I was like, should I stop? I didn't want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him," Bourbeau told The Edmonton Journal about her thoughts about the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. "This is, like, the best thing that's ever happened to me. I was so happy that he did that. It was incredible."

Bourbeau, an aspiring singer, is not your average vocalist off of the street, as she is currently perfecting her craft at the event's organizer, Resonate Music School and Studio.

"That's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He happened to be there, she's singing his song ... It was amazing that she was actually able to keep it together and finish," Resonate Music School president Michael Cathrea told The Journal about Bourbeau's memory that is sure to always be a highlight of hers. "It was shock, as if she had seen a ghost," Cathrea said.
