Creighton Slayings: Former Indiana Doctor, Anthony Garcia, Tells Stripper About Murders

Anthony Garcia, a former Indiana doctor, confessed to a stripper about murders he committed over a period of years ABC News reported.

Garcia, 40, has been charged with first-degree murder for the killings of four people connected to an Omaha medical school that he was fired from him 2001, authorities said.

At a preliminary hearing, homicide detective Derek Mois claimed Garcia told a stripper, who he had previously dated, that he murdered a "small boy and old woman." After going through his smartphone and tablet, officials found that he had conducted GPS searches to the addresses of two victims and another person from the pathology department at Creighton University's medical school.

Garcia, of Terre Haute, Indiana, is accused of fatally stabbing Thomas Hunter, 11, son of Creighton University pathologist William Hunter, and their housekeeper Shirlee Sherman in 2008. He is also accused of killing Creighton pathologist Roger Brumback and his wife, Mary, in May.

Authorities believe his motive was revenge, considering Roger Brumback and William Hunter played a part in getting Garcia fired from the pathology program. Both men also sent out letters to medical boards to prevent Garcia from obtaining a license in other states or finishing residency elsewhere.

Police said they found a GPS search to the Brumback residence on May 12, the day that officials believe they were murdered, on Garcia's smartphone. On his tablet, there was another GPS search to the home of Creighton pathology doctor Chhanda Bewtra, whose house was broken into on the same day, although she was not home.

Mois said they conducted a DNA swab of Bewtra's door which did not rule Garcia out of the investigation. They also saw on Garcia's credit card history that he ate at a restaurant on May 12 about a mile from Bewtra's home.

While testifying, Mois said when the stripper Garcia was dating tried to end the relationship in 2012, claiming he was too good for her, his response was reportedly "I'm not as good as you think." He then told her that he had killed "a small boy and an old lady" and "said something to the effect that he had to do it, and that they didn't deserve it."

Garcia was arrested last month and is being held without bond.
