Joyce Mitchell, a former worker at Clinton Correctional Facility where two inmates escaped last week, will be arrested.

A local sheriff told NBC affiliate WPTZ that she will be taken into custody "in the next couple hours."

According to the report, Mitchell was looked into for having a "possible relationship" with Richard Matt, one of the escaped inmates. The former Clinton Correctional Facility employee has denied rumors that she was in love with Matt, but did say he made her feel "special."

Contrary to earlier reports, District Attorney Andrew Wylie said Mitchell did not supply Matt and David Sweat with the power tools they used to escape.

Matt and Sweat are both convicted murderers. They have not been seen since last Saturday, June 6.
