With few details available for the in development "Kingdom Heart III" (KH3), speculators are chiming in as to what characters they wish to see in the game.

Square Enix game director Tetsuya Nomura told fansite Finaland in an interview that he wishes to see Star Wars and Marvel characters in the next franchise installment.

One commentator for Penn Live opposed KH3 fans' desires of brining in Iron Man and Luke Skywalker:

No Marvel. With the "Avengers" combining a series of film franchises into one smash hit movie, I think we'd be looking at some serious crossover fatigue. Besides, you can't throw a controller without hitting a video game where you play as Spider-Man.

No Lucasfilm...There's a billion "Star Wars" video games, and crossing Jedi Knights with Keyblade warriors just makes both franchises less exciting.

However, I disagree. In terms of seeing the beloved Marvel and "Star Wars" franchise characters in KH3, the two story lines have endless possiblities to make an amazing appearance in the game.

As far as the appearance of "Star Wars" characters making KH3 less exciting, I highly doubt that. If Sora were to wield a lightsaber and potentially fight Stromtrooper-like Heartless or seek advice from Yoda, the inner nerd in you would explode. If combining two franchises would make one less exciting, the "Kingdom Hearts" famous "Final Fantasy" character cameos would have made the game a major flop.

As of right now, there is no set release date for KH3.

Below are the Top 5 Star Wars and Marvel characters and universes I wish to see in KH3 (view above slide show for images):

1. Darth Vader

I can envision Sora teaming up with Luke and Chewbacca for an epic keyblade battle against the King of the Dark Side.

2. Thor

In the "Kingdom Hearts" universe, we have visited Hercules, Megara and Hades in the underworld. Therefore, another God-like character isn't a far reach.

3. Captain America

'Cause we need the ultimate American superhero in the Japanese franchise.

4.  Tatooine

Picture this: Sora on a Chocobo on his way to battle evil Qactuar in the sands of the "Star Wars" planet.

5.  R2D2

Everyone needs a robot sidekick. No arguments needed.
