Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa might be hitting the gym together in order to get in shape for “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

The actors both shared images on Instagram of themselves rock climbing on Aug. 1. The coincidence may have gone unnoticed had Momoa’s connection with “Batman vs. Superman” not been cause for speculation the last few months.

Momoa has allegedly landed the role of Aquaman in “Batman vs. Superman,” but neither the actor nor Warner Bros. has confirmed the news. The former “Game of Thrones” actor remained coy about his reported new role during an interview with Access Hollywood earlier in July.

"I hear a lot of stuff in the paper - you'll have to wait and see, " Jason told the show regarding his alleged role. "I'm not sure yet. Never know," he added.

Though the Aquaman rumors remain unconfirmed, Momoa’s attitude about them has significantly changed. Momoa attended a "Game of Thrones" panel at Detroit's Motor City Comic Con in May. During the panel, a Comic Book Movie reporter asked the actor about the "Batman vs. Superman" rumors.

"What does everything tell you? No. Stop asking me. It's so annoying. Sorry, you're not annoying," Momoa told the panel crowd. "Oh you're the press? Get the f*** out of here. Here, put this in there - you're a d***, you're a d***. [Allowing the audience to laugh] You're not a d***, I'm just playing. You know what, I think it started when people said 'What superhero would you play?'

"And I'd say Batman and Superman, they'd be awesome together. Then people were like, 'He's in Batman vs. Superman!' I'm like, I really like Lobo. 'HE'S LOBO!!' And then some a**hole was like 'He's Aquaman! And I'm like - what did you just call me? Where the f*** do you pull out Aquaman? Seriously... And then it shows up on the Internet. Not that it's a bad rumor."

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released to theaters on May 6, 2016.
