Adam Driver might be the new "Darth Vader" of the "Star Wars" series, but he isn't the only actor linked to the "Star Wars Episode 7" cast.

Before you get too excited, the "Star Wars" camp has not confirmed Variety and TheWrap's reports citing insider source who claim the "Girls" actor is the new villain.  Driver is allegedly in talks to play one of the lead "villainous" roles in the film, and has settled scheduling conflicts with the "Star Wars" production.

However, director J.J. Abrams has run a tight, leak proof ship so far and no casting news has been confirmed.  The same hype that surrounded Driver also occurred when actors Gary Oldman and Benedict Cumberbatch were linked by inside sources to the film.

Cumberbatch has remained mum about any link to "Star Wars," while Oldman confirmed he had received a phone call, but had not signed any papers.

"I believe Cumberbatch and Oldman were pursued for the same role, but I don't know how that will work out with the script changes, but I'm told they are both involved," MarketSaw reports, the blog which first broke the news of the upcoming "Star Wars" films.

Actor Zac Efron was linked to the film as well before he confirmed to MTV News he met with the "Star Wars Episode 7" production team.

"Yeah, I just went and met with them," Efron told MTV News while promoting his latest film "That Awkward Moment."  "So I don't know. It would be cool. I love them, I love them, but... who knows?"

Next actor on the list is "Thor" star Tom Hiddleston.  The actor neither denied nor confirmed meeting with the "Star Wars Episode 7" production, but would hop on the film if given the opportunity.

"Well, that hasn't happened yet. It'd be very flattering, of course. I did talk to Ewan about it once," the actor told Timeout London.  "When they asked if he wanted to be Obi-Wan Kenobi he said: 'Are you joking? Of course!' But his experience didn't live up to the promise. Besides, I imagine they're looking for people who don't have an association elsewhere. The audience need to believe in the character, rather than saying, 'Oh look, Loki with a lightsaber!'"

Though actors claim to have connections to the "Star Wars," production hasn't released any statement confirming casting reports.

"Star Wars Episode 7" is slated to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
