Samsung officially announces the arrival of Samsung Gear S3.

The Samsung Gear S3's design is timeless and classic. It looks like a normal watch from afar and yet, can do almost everything you do with your smartphone.

Samsung Gear S3 is available in two designs, the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic. Both are very good looking and have the same capabilities and internal specifications.

Samsung Gear S3 Frontier has a matt black stainless steel body with rougher bezel and flatter and bigger buttons on the right. While the Samsung Gear S3 Classic is more elegant looking and made from polished stainless steel.   

Both have the rotating bezel, which can answer (or cancel) calls, read messages, adjust volumes, set timers and go to any app in your Gear S3.

In terms of internal specs, Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and Classic are both equipped with 1.3 inch 360 x 360 Super AMOLED round display and Gorilla Glass SR+. Also, both Samsung Gear S3 run on OS 9 Tizen (2.3.2), dual-core 1.0 GHz processor with 768 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage.

The Tizen OS of the Gear S3 is much more improved than the Gear S2. OS 9 Tizen (2.3.2) already offers more than 10,000 apps in the Tizen Store.

The 380 mAh battery of the Samsung Gear S3 is also impressive. The device can survive 3 to 4 days of use.

You can connect both Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and Classic to WiFi and Bluetooth. But the former can be installed with SIM and is LTE-capable.

Samsung Gear S3 (both designs) also has GPS, speedometer, altimeter, heart rate sensor and barometer. The device is also IP 68 certified, which means that it is water resistant.

Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and Samsung Gear S3 Classic will be available by late October or in the first few weeks of November. Samsung Gear S3 is also speculated to be around $300-$350.
