There aren't a lot of options for a character on "The Walking Dead" once they've been bit by a zombie. You can either get shot in the head (classic), eaten alive by Walker hordes or sustain just the glancing bite and later return as a zombie. None of those options are ideal.

While Alexandrian leader Deanna wasn't torn to shreds by walkers in the first half of season six, she was bit. And if this new promotion image is taken as literal, she may be returning as a flesh eating corpse. Check it out.

The necklace and wedding ring were both featured on Deanna during the first half of season six. The tattered blue shirt is also what she was killed in. It's not as if this is the first time we've been teased with a zombified Deanna, but this is the most significant piece of evidence thus far.

Actress Tovah Feldshuh hasn't commented on her potential return, but it's got to be seen as an honor to be asked to come back as a Walker. It also gives fans a nice call back and a reminder of the stakes. Deanna believed wholeheartedly in the safety and viability of the Alexandria community. Unfortunately, her belief did not translate to reality.

When last we saw Alexandria, the place was being overrun with Walkers. Rick, Michonne and Co. were in the process of getting out of dodge and the community had suffered heavy losses. In a way, a Walker version of Deanna mirrors the collapse of the one-time safety net of Alexandria. How's that for symbolism?

"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC on Feb. 14.
