John Stamos won't face any jail time for his DUI arrest last summer. The 52-year-old actor, best known for his roles on "Full House" and "ER," pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs.

While Stamos did not appear in a Los Angeles courthouse Tuesday, he entered the plea through his attorney and was sentenced to three years probation, Deputy District Attorney Daniel Novey told TMZ.

The "Grandfather" actor must attend 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, as well as a two-hour drug and alcohol counseling session. Stamos will also have to pay a $390 fine.

In June, Stamos was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, after witnesses reported Stamos was "behaving strangely and driving erratically." Several media outlets reported that Stamos was under the influence of GHB, which is also known as the date rape drug. A source close to Stamos said the actor was using it as a fitness supplement.

After being handcuffed, officers on the scene quickly decided that the actor required medical attention, "due to a possible medical condition. He was taken to a local hospital. Once released from the hospital, Stamos was issued a citation for DUI.

In July, Stamos checked himself into rehab for a 30-day substance abuse program.

"I've had a rough year with my mom dying, so it all came to a head, and it was a turning point," Stamos told Details Magazine's October issue. "You either continue on that path - and some of it's fun, but a lot of it's not - or there's this other thing, this golden opportunity sitting there with all this work and all this goodwill that you have going for you. That's the key."
