The unlikely bonds just keep coming. They shows us that animals have a heart as big as Texas and will help each other out with no regard to species, predators or danger of themselves.

So it shouldn't be a surprise, but more of a delight to see this little white stray puppy rescued off the streets of Brazil comfort and bond with a battered and broken down little donkey, according to The Dodo. Kindred spirits, yes, but the little donkey was not only left on the streets, though his fate was to die on the side of the road after being hit by a car, left there to suffer by the uncaring person who struck him.

City officials had heard about the little months-old injured donkey and had plans to euthanize him, but two of Brazil's saviors stepped up, according to White Wolf Pack. Stefanie Rodrigues and Zenith Gurgel transported the little guy back to Rodrigues' house to mend.

Armed with a new name, Guerreirinho, which means little warrior, the donkey was made a comfy bed inside to heal from what x-rays show is three fractured legs, among other injuries, Fido 4 Ever noted. While Guerreirinho healed, a little white puppy, rescued as a stray from the streets by Rodrigues, started hanging out with him to keep him company. It wasn't long before the pair bonded, and the comfort and security given by the love of his new best puppy friend, had Guerreirinho settled in napping peacefully.

So the pup and donkey have settled in, comforting each other and finding acceptance and love while the donkey starts his long road to being healed. The pictures share the emotions and peace they both feel now.
