South Africa leads the three match T20I series after a thrilling seven wicket victory in Dharmsala on Oct. 2. All-rounder JP Duminy, who scored 68 runs, helped the visitors to win the first match.

South African batsman Farhaan Behardien said on Sunday that the team is experimenting with AB de Villiers' battling position under a strategy for upcoming T20 World Cup, according to Free Press Journal. AB de Villiers opened the innings in the first match and he scored 51 runs from 42 balls.

"The first six overs in a Twenty20 game when the ball comes on to the bat is crucial. If we can pounce on the Power Play, AB is that good a player that if he bats for 50 to 60 balls, he will end up with a hundred," Behardien said.

Right-handed opening batsman Rohit Sharma, who scored 103 runs in the Friday's game, said he was disappointed with outcome.

"It was a good knock, but we lost the game. I am pretty disappointed, it was unfortunate. I'm sure we will come back strong," he said on Sunday, according to Bangalore Mirror.

Sharma was confident that his team will bounce back in Cuttack.

"Overall, there's a room for improvement, I'm sure the guys have learnt from it and they will come back stronger. We have to do a lot of things right whether it's batting or bowling, and come out all guns blazing," he added.
