Apple Inc. has sent out invitations to media and members of the press for an event on Tuesday Sept. 10. It has been known for a while that Apple would be hosting a press event on that day in order to unveil the new iPhone 5S as well as the iPhone C. Now those rumors have been officially confirmed.

The media invitation included several differently colored bubbles behind an Apple logo with the single tagline: "This should brighten everyone's day." The event will take place at the company's Cupertino headquarters at 10 a.m. PST, according to MercuryNews.

The vague tagline from the press event feeds clues into several theories about what the company will be debuting and what the focus of the event will be. Color seems like a likely candidate.

Apple will, of course, be announcing the iPhone 5S, the update to its flagship family of smartphones the iPhone 5. The device is rumored to come with a dual LED flash for the camera, a 128GB flash storage option, an updated A7 processor and a possible fingerprint scanner. However, the real eye-catcher will be the new colors. Apple has been rumored to be creating a gold champagne color option for the iPhone 5S as well as a silver graphite option. These won't replace the standard black and white options but will add two more varients to the flagship smartphone brand.

Meanwhile, the iPhon C, Apple's plastic backed low-cost iPhone will also make its debut on Sept. 10. This phone is meant to replace older models of the iPhone on the low-end market, giving Apple a chance to get an iPhone in the hands of low-income users. The bright colors seen in photo leaks show the iPhone C will also give users the chance to see some bright new colors as it will come in white, green, blue, yellow and red.

In other words, the common theme throughout the show will likely be vibrant color. This is especially true since it is likely Apple will finally take the wrapping off of its highly anticipated iOS 7, a more colorful redesign of the operating system that all of its mobile devies work on including iPhones, iPods iPads and iPad Minis.

For those who have been waiting all summer for something new out of Apple, it appears that on Sept. 10, your wait is over.
