Apple launched a trade-in program for all of its stores in the United States. Now if people want to bring in their old smartphones, an Apple employee will provide an appraisal and provide a gift card with credit based on how much the phone is worth.

Prices for trade-ins can range from anywhere between $150 to $350 depending on your phone's model and the condition that it is in when returned. With so much happening in the way of phone trade-ins in anticipation of the iPhone 5S release date, Mashable has compiled a helpful list for what phones will get users the best deal if they try and return them.

While the chart shows how much phone trade-ins cost on the website Gazelle and not the new trade-in system offered by Apple, it's at least a gage for people to understand what their phone can be worth.

According to the chart, produced by Statista, an iPhone 5 will fetch the highest price at $315. Following that is Apple's biggest competitor, the Samsung Galaxy S4, which can get users $250.

The breakdown then goes on with the HTC One getting $220, the iPhone 4S getting $200, the Samsung Galaxy Note II getting $175, the Samsung Galaxy S III Getting $165, the BlackBerry Z10 getting $138, the iPhone 4 getting $125 and the LG Google Nexus 4 getting $83.

Again, it's important to note that Apple might offer better deals or worse deals. In addition, every price is subject to change based on the condition your phone is it when you try to get money for it. Obviously your cracked screen won't allow you to receive the full $315.
